Chris’ appointment aims to take Ronset to the Premier League!

Passionate football rivalries have been put to one side with the appointment of a new Commercial
Manager at leading wide format and digital printers, Ronset.
Burnley fan Chris Durham, who has worked in the print industry since being an apprentice, was
offered the chance to join the growing Blackburn firm by Managing Director Peter Farnworth, a
Blackburn Rovers fan. Chris and Peter are hoping that their teamwork will make Ronset the premier
choice of printers for local businesses.
Chris said:
“Ronset has been in business for over 50 years and has a fantastic reputation with local businesses
and some big name brands, from supermarkets to sports merchandise companies.
“This is a really exciting opportunity for me to use my knowledge of the print industry and my
contacts to make people aware of the different areas of printing Ronset specialises in, from short
run digital jobs to wide format banners and specialist printing on materials like glass, aluminium and
treadmill belts.
“I am looking forward to showcasing the excellent quality of Ronset’s work to old and new contacts,
and showing them how they can find the answer to all of their printing needs here in Blackburn”
Managing Director Peter added:
“My father, Ronald, set up Ronset as monotype typesetters in Darwen in the 1960s and since then
the company has continued to evolve, from being a reprographics company in Blackburn town
centre to its current purpose built digital printing site which we moved to in 2000. My Dad was
actively involved in the business until the age of 84.
“We have a very loyal workforce, some of whom have been with the company for over 20 years.
Chris’ appointment, and our planned recruitment of a graduate designer and MAC operator later this
year, will help the company to continue to grow, challenging people’s ideas of printing and showing
them how innovative and unique our products can be.
“When I met Chris I was impressed by how like-minded we were and his ideas for the future of
Ronset, despite the fact he’s a Burnley fan! We’re looking forward to working together to take
Ronset on to the next level.”
