New Book – The Memories Of Darwen

We have recently had the pleasure of printing the new book by Darwen Days entitled “Memories Of Darwen”. This is an excellent book for anyone who is interested in Darwen and its rich past. There are some great photos in the book and the content will certainly bring back lots of memories for a great many `Darreners`.

The book was officially launched on Saturday 28th November at Darwen Library and by all accounts it was a great success with many people giving excellent feedback on the book and purchasing it there. Dave and Marie at Darwen Days do a wonderful job keeping the history of Darwen alive for us all and documenting all the changes over the years. They have been running Darwen Days for 4 years now and are going from strength to strength.

The town seems to be having something of a renaissance at present, particularly with regard to its thriving nightlife as more excellent pubs/cocktailbars and restaurants have opened recently, and so this book has probably been published at the right time.
